Johan Greeff on Twenty years of Excellence
The move to establish my own Consulting business in February 1989 was born out of a sincere wish to do things differently. Based on the belief that networking, knowledge-sharing and actively involving people as founding principles, we opened our doors with one prospective client, one computer, an overhead projector, some furniture and loads of enthusiasm.
Twenty years later I am privileged to look back on an amazing journey where
- some precious memories were created,
- we received amazing blessings, and
- we learnt more than we taught.
We achieved many victories. These were only possible through the dedication, commitment and focus on excellence from a team of dedicated professionals. Central to this was our policy of creating a partnership with each of our clients. Our openness to partnership, feedback and engagement surprised clients. They were not just commodities, they were fellow travellers on a journey to a more exciting and rewarding future.
After twenty years - during which we have witnessed transformation on our Country, business and within ourselves - we at Treetops are proud of:
- Our Business Partners who have been with us for fifteen years or longer, especially VWSA, Aurecon Engineering (previously Africon Engineering), BMW SA, Sasol, The Ekhurhuleni Metropolitan Council (East Rand Municipalities) and Kagiso Khulani Supervision (now Compass Group).

Now, more than ever, we have faith in the principles that:

To honour this, the Treetops Team spent a few days of quiet, reflective celebration in the African bush at Leopard Song Bush Camp, situated in the Pride of Africa Game Reserve. In the process of connecting with our African Roots we created collages capturing historical achievements, Reflective moments around the camp fire and quiet moments with Mother Nature helped us to prepare for the future challenges in this ever-changing world we live in - a future that will see the birth of many good things.
